As a general rule you are allowed to bring into Mexico whatever you need for the period of your stay. You are not allowed to bring food, fruits or products that are not packed or sealed, same if you bring an unusual amount of medication please bring along a medical prescription in case you need to prove that the medicine is for your personal consumption.
Airport check-in can take some time, as well as locating your luggage carousel after landing, so make sure you leave plenty of time. Also make sure you’re aware of who your transport is if you have prebooked because you will be met with lots of touts looking for your business, and you will find them just outside of the airport outside the exit glass doors towards their vehicles.
You can also take the ADO bus from the airport into the town, which offers a regular service. The airport bus station can be found outside the domestic arrivals doors at Terminal 2. For international arrivals, turn right after coming out of the building and walk across to the other side. At Terminal 3, turn right outside the terminal doors and walk passed ‘Air Margaritaville’ hut.
